Hi, I’m Aaron. I’m an expert in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I’m very familiar with the transpiled languages SCSS and ES6, and while they are nice and contain some future forward notions I’ve recently become a strong advocate for a strict web-native approach to building web apps. I’m well versed in a variety of SQL flavors, and if anyone here has worked with multiple SQL platforms I’m certain that won’t come as a surprise. I’m currently a fan of Google Firebase as a web stack, it lets web devs do everything they need to without deviating from the native HTML/CSS/JS stack, including database management. Paired with Google Admin Suite, it’s a great way to run a web site while also providing businesses authenticated, role based services like VOIP and email on custom domains. As a web dev I’m entrenched in git version control – I use it every day. I’m a super user on Linux, Mac, and Windows machines, and I am familiar with each OS’s native command line of choice (Bash, Terminal, Powershell). I’m very comfortable issuing public / private key pairs to grant access to SSH secured resources. I enjoy challenging myself; I have a lot of accomplishments that I am proud of, and I tweet them out a fair bit.
I win competitions like hackathons while representing my workplace.
I make my own wooden boards for my favorite board games.
I play a wicked game of Tetris, and have won against 99 simultaneous opponents.
I play really, really hard games without ever buying upgrades.
I have most recently been hired by the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at UGA to help manage their Drupal shop, and I love these guys. Check out PSO and CVIOG, they rock!
