I’ve wanted to make my own version of this in JS for a while, with an additional goal of being able to easily copy and paste several generated lines into a single image in an effort to make puzzles for my Dungeons and Dragons party. I wanted to be able to filter by blue instead of red, but every in every attempt I made to achieve a blue filter I found either the message was readable without the filter or else is was unrecognizable with the filter. There may be a sweet spot or technique I’m not using to enable the blue filter, but for now I’m really happy with how this works under a red filter:

This will work under a red transparency sheet or under red light. You can also plug in your own fonts to use strange characters from fonts that are symbol ciphers. This can be the start of a great puzzle for any dungeon! I’m still working on using images instead of text.
